Talosian Financial Software was founded by Garrett Smith, a software engineer with many years of experience at brokerages and proprietary trading firms.
He saw that there is a large gap between firms with multimillion dollar-plus technology budgets and retail traders. The gap leaves boutique funds, family offices, wealth managers and high net worth individuals with only standard retail trading tools.

Why Interactive Brokers?
Interactive Brokers offers global exchange connectivity, competitive margin financing, sophisticated portfolio margining, and a platform used by many funds before they are large enough to secure a prime brokerage relationship with a major bank. However, IBKR provides only basic technical support for its API. IBKR's feature set, while great for retail-level trading, is nowhere near what sophisticated funds and market makers use. Talosian fills that gap for clients who need production-grade software around IBKR.
